PBA player CJ Perez gets college degree at Lyceum

MANILA, Philippines—San Miguel’s CJ Perez earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management on Wednesday.

After representing Lyceum in his collegiate career, Perez continued his studies in his alma mater even after being drafted in the PBA in 2018.

The NCAA Season 93 MVP thanked the Lyceum community for motivating him in his college journey. He also thanked his family for the continued support.

“To my family, wife and two kids, thank you for giving me the motivation I need to finish my studies,” he said in a Facebook post.

The 2018 first round draft pick also thanked San Miguel sports director Alfrancis Chua.

“Boss Alfrancis, this is it, I have a diploma now. Thank you for pushing me to get my degree not just for me but also for my family,” he said.

Perez, who also played for Ateneo in the UAAP, is averaging 16 points, six rebounds and 4.67 assists  for the Beermen in three games in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
