NATIONAL team standouts Phil and James Younghusband return to club duties today when the Loyola Meralco Sparks battle Navy Red Juice at the resumption of the United Football League.

The Younghusband brothers, who played two matches for the Azkals during the international break over the past week, will be at the forefront of the Sparks’ attack in the 4 p.m. clash at Rizal Memorial Stadium.

A win by the Sparks will push them to second spot, a point behind Kaya which has a game in hand. They have four games left, including a duel with Global, which they would need to sweep to bag the title.

Similarly, Global, which rallied from 1-3 down to beat Guam national team, 5-3, Thursday night in an exhibition match at the same venue, needs to sweep its last three matches to claim the title.

FEATURED STORIES

Army and Green Archers collide in the first game at 2 p.m. with both teams trying to avoid a relegation battle with Navy.

With a win, Archers will leapfrog past Army at eighth spot and be out of danger.

With 10 goals under his name, Archers striker Floriano Pasilan will be a marked man against Army, which is hoping to avenge a 0-2 loss to Archers in the first round.

Army will retain its spot in the first division next season with a win over Archers.
