MANILA, Philippines—Meggie Ochoa’s trophy room got another valuable collection after the two-time world champion struck gold at the 7th Asian Jiujitsu Championships in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ochoa forced May Yong of Singapore to submission, 15-0, and reigned supreme in the women’s adult -48-kilogram division of the tournament where Team Philippines garnered four gold medals and two bronzes.

Veteran grappler Annie Ramirez ruled the women’s -57kg category and regular Southeast Asian Games campaigner Kaila Napolis topped the -52kg section before Dylan Valmores joined them atop the podium with a sterling triumph in the female +70 category.

Marc Alexander Lim and Andrea Lois Lao added a pair of bronze medals for the country in the male -69kg and female -63kg divisions.

With two golden performances at the Southeast Asian Games and an Asian Indoor Games mint, Ochoa will be angling to secure the Asian Games gold as well this year in Hangzhou, China after finishing third at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia.
