TEAM Philippines passed safety and performance standards as they fortified their respective bids on Day 3 of the Shell Eco-marathon Challenge (SEM) at the Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Composed of young engineering students from various schools, the six Philippine teams helped each other out during the daily inspection and testing of their respective designs.

They face tough competition from the rest of the 116-team field from 18 Asian countries.
