Abueva, Tautuaa involved verbal spat after PBA Finals Game 2
MANILA, Philippines—Not long after the final buzzer sounded signaling the end of San Miguel Beer’s lopsided win over Magnolia in Game 2 of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals, more drama ensued involving Hotshots forward Calvin Abueva and the wife of Beermen big man Mo Tautuaa, Aida.
In a video by INQUIRER Sports, Abueva and his wife Sam figured in a verbal altercation with the Tautuaas while the players and their families were on their way out of Mall of Asia Arena Sunday night.

A furious Abueva also challenged Tautuaa to a fight as MOA Arena security, PBA officials and even San Miguel’s active consultant Leo Austria tried to keep the situation from escalating further.

Aida took to X (formerly Twitter) to air her side of the story.
“To set the record straight—Calvin did not physically attack me. I had to walk past him to go to the restroom. He smirked at me, nodded his head up and down & said ‘yeaaa,’ laughing. I said, ‘wtf is wrong with you?’ & kept walking. He walked after me and literally got in my face,” she posted.
The PBA has yet to issue a statement about the matter as of posting time.
The Beermen won 109-85 in Game 2 to take a commanding 2-0 series lead. Game 3 is on Wednesday at Araneta Coliseum.
