UAAP: FEU rises to title contender after worst-ever finish
MANILA, Philippines — In a span of three years under three different coaches, Far Eastern University has turned from a cellar-dweller into a legit title threat.
The last time the Lady Tamaraws made the Final Four was in Season 81 which ended in an elimination loss to eventual champion Ateneo.
On Saturday, FEU moved on the cusp of ending a six-year finals drought after pulling off a stunning 25-23, 25-17, 25-23 win over top seed National University to force a rubber match in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball Final Four. FULL STORY
With its best game yet, FEU extends UAAP Final Four series vs NU
Unfazed in battling an opponent it hasn’t beaten all season long, Far Eastern University played with the biggest weapon it had, the belief in itself, to get to fight another day in the Final Four of the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament.
A 25-23, 25-17, 25-23 bamboozling of No. 1 ranked National University (NU) on Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum could have also turned the psychological advantage in their favor as the Lady Tamaraws took the best that the Lady Bulldogs could dish out and still won with plenty to spare. FULL STORY
