Defending champion San Beda cruises part JRU
MANILA, Philippines—Defending champion San Beda wasted little time as it cruised past Jose Rizal University, 62-37, Saturday in the NCAA Season 88 men’s basketball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Big man Kyle Pascual had 14 points on seven-of-nine shooting from the field.
With the win, San Beda shared first place with San Sebastian at 6-1.

The Red Lions had four players in double-figures with Ola Adeogun adding 12 points.

JRU on the other hand only had Ronnel Carmpil who finished in double-figure scoring.
Nate Matute, the explosive swingman, only had measly four points.
San Beda led by as much as 30 and held JRU to its lowest output in the season.
The Bombers dropped to 6-2.
