PBA player Kevin Alas, wife Selina Alas announce baby on the way

MANILA, Philippines—PBA player Kevin Alas and his wife Selina Dagdag are expecting their first child.
After a string of unfortunate events in the past years, Kevin and Selina welcomed more good news as they announced they are now six months pregnant.
Article continues after this advertisement“Who would’ve thought that a cancer survivor would still conceive? Yet here we are, hitting 6 months in a few weeks,” wrote Selina and Kevin on Wednesday.

“What a mighty God we worship- proving to us that His power is made perfect in our weakness,” added Selina, quoting the bible verse 2 Corinthians 12:9.
Article continues after this advertisementIt’s been a long time coming for Mr. and Mrs. Alas after a miscarriage in the first part of 2022.
In April of the same year, Selina was diagnosed with gestational trophoblastic neoplasia–a rare type of cancer.

Fortunately, she was declared cancer-free and it’s been smooth sailing for the couple until the following year when Kevin re-injured his ACL for the third time during an NLEX Road Warriors’ game in the 2023 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
