MANILA, Philippines — Precious Momowei didn’t mince words after University of the East suffered its second straight loss in the UAAP Season 87 men’s basketball tournament.

Momowei put up 18 points and 21 rebounds but still wasn’t enough to save UE from falling to Far Eastern University, 59-51, on Sunday at UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.

“We have been playing like sh*t lately. I don’t know what the f*ck is wrong with us, honestly. We are in a good spot right now, but I don’t know what’s wrong, honestly,” a frustrated Momowei told reporters after the third-seeded Red Warriors dropped their second straight game against a team outside the Final Four picture. “We have been playing bad lately, so I really don’t know what to say.”

“I do that every day [rally my teammates]. I do that in practice, in games. I want to win, you know. I want to be in the Final Four. I try my best to make them focus,” he said. “We still have three more games, so hopefully we will win every game.”

Momowei lauded FEU center Mo Konateh, who had three points and 11 rebounds, in their second-round duel.

“Shoutout to Mo. He is solid. It was a good match-up. He is good,” said Momowei.
