Heading gave Converge a gift for the holidays as he helped the FiberXers bury Meralco, 110-94, in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Wednesday at Araneta Coliseum.

“There’s a little extra excitement but I’m a little bit used to playing on Christmas Day. For as long as I can remember, in every year of my professional career, I’ve played during Christmas,” said the Fil-Australian Heading.

“It was a little bit different here in the Philippines. I think we celebrate it better than anyone else so there’s a bit of extra excitement in there as well.”

Heading played without any Christmas jitters as he dropped 30 points, eight assists and six rebounds to push Converge to its fourth straight win in the conference and 6-2 overall.

“I tried to approach this game like I approach every game. I think that’s part of being a professional. You have a routine and you try to stick to it every game,” he said.

Heading and the FiberXers won’t be back in action until January 11 against TNT at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
