SACRAMENTO, California — Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray will be sidelined for more than a month after injuring his left thumb in an exhibition game.
The Kings said Sunday that Murray has a torn ulnar collateral ligament of the left thumb after getting hurt in the first half of Friday night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Sacramento lost the game, 124-123, after Trail Blazers rookie Caleb Love sank one of two free throws with 0.6 ticks remaining.
The Kings, who dropped to 0-2 in preseason, said Murray will be reevaluated in four to six weeks.
The 25-year-old Murray is entering his fourth season in the NBA. He was the fourth overall pick by Sacramento in the 2022 NBA Draft.
He averaged 12.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game last season for the Kings.
Sacramento missed the playoffs for the second straight time last season, where it finished 10th after losing to Dallas in the play-in tournament.
