MANILA, Philippines — Chie Saet, one of the longest tenured players of Petro Gazz, gets a fresh start with Strong Group Athletics in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Saet, who has been with Petro Gazz since 2019 and has been part of the franchise’s four titles, signed with SGA, which owns Farm Fresh and ZUS Coffee.

“Strong mind, strong heart. Chie Saet joins Strong Group, bringing leadership, experience, and calm under pressure to the squad,” SGA wrote.
The 41-year-old setter is set to bring her experience to the young teams of SGA, possibly guiding the Foxies’ playmakers Alohi Robins-Hardy and Louie Romero or ZUS Coffee’s Reinforced Conference Best Setter Clo Mondoñedo.
Saet was the first-ever Miss Quality Minutes of the PVL Press Corps Awards Night last year and led Petro Gazz setters Djanel Cheng and rookie Jules Tolentino.
SGA has already signed Royse Tubino and Bia General from Choco Mucho as well as Chery Tiggo’s Cess Robles, Karen Verdeflor, and Renee Peñafiel.

Meanwhile, Seth Rodriguez found a new home at PLDT, following Chery Tiggo’s disbandment.
Rodriguez’s entry plugs in the void left by Alas Pilipinas player Dell Palomata, who will play in Indonesia and miss the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference that opens late January.
The 5-foot-10 middle blocker solidifies PLDT’s towering frontline led by Mika Reyes, Majoy Baron, and rookie Zen Perolino.
“We look forward to witnessing you adapt and grow in the team’s system and culture,” PLDT said.
