MANILA, Philippines — Filipino boxer Denver Cuello finally regained his lost silver WBC belt Wednesday after accidentally leaving it in the cab he and his companions took recently.

Driver Pepito Sumalinog returned the black bag, containing some of Cuello’s stuff along with the precious WBC minimum weight belt, he found on the backseat of his cab.

Cuello said he is giving Sumalinog a reward of small amount of cash and treating him to lunch as a sign of his utmost gratitude, said a radio report.

The 25-year-old was coming off a TV guesting when he left his other possessions and the belt — which the report said costs close to P2 million — which for Cuello, of course, is priceless.

Cuello is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Mexican Ivan Meneses late last month.
