Unscathed Lady Tamaraws clinches UAAP women’s basketball title

Far Eastern University was not going to let La Salle spoil its pristine record as it notched a 70-66 victory to clinch the 75th UAAP women’s basketball title Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Lady Tamaraws, with a 16-0 card, became the first team—in all divisions—to sweep the season since the final four era started in 1994.

Tied at the half, the Lady Tamaraws used a huge third0-quarter output to create separation and held on to the lead until the end.
Trisha Piatos paced the Lady Archers with 16 points while Kady Wilson posted a double-double performance of 10 points and 12 rebounds.
