MANILA, Philippines — Sisi Rondina is preaching patience after Choco Mucho lost back-to-back games in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
After winning its opening day assignment, Choco Mucho absorbed its second straight loss to Creamline, 27-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-15, on Tuesday night in front of 12,600 fans at Mall of Asia Arena.
“We tend to lose patience. There are times when we’re starting to find our rhythm, but we forget that everything coach wants us to do is effective, we just don’t execute it. That’s what we need to focus on and learn,” said Rondina in Filipino after tallying 15 points and 14 receptions.
Choco Mucho lost 19 of its 20 matches against Creamline since joining the PVL in 2019.

Eya Laure rose to the occasion in her first Choco Mucho-Creamline game with 19 points, 13 excellent receptions, and 10 digs, only to suffer a late injury.
Rondina believes that coming off her golden SEA Games run in beach volleyball and her former UST teammate return from a long hiatus still need to adapt to the system of coach Dante Alinsunurin.
“Since I returned to indoor volleyball, I’ve learned a lot of new things from coach Dante, especially the new techniques he’s adapting. That’s what we really need to work on, especially me, Eya, and the other spikers,” said Rondina.
Alinsunurin, meanwhile, remained optimistic despite falling to a 1-2 record, saying Flying Titans still need more time to click under his system after seeing their lapses in the first three games.
“From our two losses, we clearly saw our mistakes. What we want to happen on the court was proven to be something we really have to execute, not just talk about. There were moments when we lost our patience, but like I said, it takes time to get what we want to see on the court, especially when we’re out of system. We just need to adapt to whatever situation we’re in at that moment,” said Alinsunurin in Filipino.
“This league is long and a lot can still happen—you can end up in the Final Four or fighting near the bottom. In situations like this, we really need to prove ourselves more in the coming games.”
Choco Mucho has a week before facing Capital1 at FilOil Arena.
