PBA: Bol Bol gets praise from longtime TNT import RHJ

MANILA, Philippines—From one TNT import to another, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson tipped his hat to Bol Bol after the Tropang 5G’s 119-112 win over Macau in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Hollis-Jefferson, currently rehabbing an Achilles tendon injury, attended the game on Friday to support Bol and Tropang 5G.
He had nothing but praise for Bol, who delivered 37 points, 14 rebounds, and six blocks in the win.
“It’s surprising but not surprising when you look at his stat sheet,” an impressed Hollis-Jefferson told Inquirer at halftime.
“It’s just amazing to see. Seeing a guy that skilled, talented, versatile and so mobile is quite impressive.”

Bol’s performance helped TNT improve to 6-3, just behind Barangay Ginebra–which won later that night–and NLEX Road Warriors, both at 6-2.
When asked if TNT fans can expect him and not Bol in a Tropang 5G jersey soon, Hollis-Jefferson was non-committal.
Right now, all he’s focused on is recovery.
“I’m rehabbing right now. I don’t have a timeline but I’m taking it one day at a time and just try to recover as best as possible,” Hollis-Jefferson said.
The last time Hollis-Jefferson suited up for TNT, he pushed the Tropang 5G to a championship against the Gin Kings in last year’s Commissioner’s Cup.
He suffered the injury while playing for Meralco Bolts in the East Asia Super League (EASL).
