CAINTA, Rizal–The various bowling associations and clubs based at Sta. Lucia Mall Bowling Center held its first-ever friendship games to promote unity and camaraderie among the groups and their members.

The event, called Interact (Inter Associations and Club Tournament) Friendship Games, was held on June 7 with 30 4-man teams, or a total of 120 players, participating.

The teams were from Sletba, Sletbabes, PBA, GMTBC, QCBA, CBA, RBC, CFM, USBC, FDBA, FLBC, and Rizalian.

Juncky Tabora, president of Sta. Lucia East Bowlers’ Association (Sletba), who spearheaded the holding of the event, expressed elation over the turnout of participants.

“We are so happy that this project finally got off the ground. I thank the presidents and officers of the various groups for their cooperation and for sharing the dream of forging unity and camaraderie in playing the sports we love under one unifying event. I hope this will become an annual event,” Tabora said.

Interact Friendship Games was a full-packed event at Sta. Lucia Mall Bowling Center.

PBA4 team composed of Efren Ruallo, Leo Villamor, Jojo Nitro and Jun Bismonte emerged as overall champion after the 5-game series with a total of 3,270 pinfalls, and pocketed the P20,000 cash prize.

FDBA3, composed of Ed Mendoza, Ethel Mendoza, Tessa Santos and Joselito Bombeta, placed first runner-up and received P10,000.

GMTBC1, composed of Edel Ocampo, Boy Florencio, Willie Pablo and Selwyn Cabaluna, finished second runner-up and won P5,000.

Individual honors went to Joseph Agustin of PBA2 (champion), Fidel Enriquez of USBC (first runner-up) and Chivas Guevarra of SLETBA2 (second runner-up).
