MANILA, Philippines—San Mig Coffee got back on the winning track after beating Air21, 89-80, Friday night in the 38th PBA Philippine Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
James Yap shot 20 points as the Mixers tied Rain or Shine in second place with an 8-3 record.

San Mig Coffee though, strung up five consecutive points to pull away for good.
Marc Pingris made both freebies before Mark Barroca converted on a drive that put the Mixers up, 87-76, with 2:38 left.

Canaleta paced Air21, which succumbed to its seventh setback in 11 games, with 18 points.
