Thompson leads Altas over Red Lions in Fr. Martin Cup
MANILA, Philippines—Earl Thompson led University of Perpetual Help-A as it stunned defending champion San Beda, 64-56, in the 9th Fr. Martin Cup at the Trinity University of Asia Gym in Quezon City.
Thompson scored 16 points for the Altas, who are in the same group as Arellano and Letran in Group A.
The Chiefs drew 18 points from guard John Pinto to turn back the Informatics Icons, 79-64, for their second win in three games.
