Gesta, Farena eye titles in undercard

Unbeaten prospect Mercito Gesta (26-0-1 with 14 KOs) will try to wrest the International Boxing Federation lightweight title from Mexican Miguel Angel Vazquez (31-3, 13 KOs) while Michael Farenas (34-3-4-1 No Decision, 26 KOs) will dispute the IBF world lightweight title with Yuriorkis Gamboa (21-0, 16 KOs).
Though the 5-foot-7 Gesta, now a resident of San Diego, California, is giving away three inches in height and seven inches in reach, boxing pundits are giving him good chances of dethroning Vasquez, who hails from Guadalajara. Roy Luarca
