BIG CHILL seeks to stay in the fight for an outright semifinal berth as it clashes with winless Informatics in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

The Superchargers will have little room for error in the 4 p.m. duel as defeat would mean the end of their bid to snatch the second automatic semifinal berth.

Big Chill found itself in a tight predicament after a lackluster effort in the 59-77 loss to Cagayan Valley last week.

“Our team should enter the game against Informatics with a must win attitude,” said Sison whose squad needs to win its last two games and hope that Blackwater split its last two assignments.

“We just have to play and step it up on defense to snatch a win against Informatics. We know how hard it is to play a team who will enter the game and play without pressure.”

The Bakers, with a 4-4 record, are gunning for a sweep of their last two games that will assure them of a twice-to-beat edge in the quarterfinals. The Waves are similarly motivated as they need to sweep their remaining games just to make the playoffs.

In the event that Big Chill and Blackwater end up with identical records, the Superchargers will make the semifinals outright because of their 74-63 win over the Elite in the elimination round.

Café France looks to sweep its last two games to earn a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals while Boracay Rum hopes to win its last two assignments to hopefully have a shot for the last quarterfinals berth.
