La Salle snaps Adamson’s win-streak with dominating win in UAAP women’s volleyball
MANILA, Philippines—La Salle closed out strong and snapped Adamson’s four-game win streak with a 25-19, 25-20, 25-8 win Wednesday in the UAAP season 75 women’s volleyball at the Arena in San Juan.
The Lady Spikers snuffed the life out of the Lady Falcons in the third set and pulled away for good—also widening their gap from second running Ateneo in the standings.
“Hindi na nakareceive yung Adamson. Sabi ko sa mga bata, kailangan lumayo at wag magtapo ng puntos (Adamson failed to receive anymore. I told my players, they need to keep distance and don’t waste points),” said head coach Ramil De Jesus.

But even with the defending champions sitting comfortably at the top with a 9-1 card, De Jesus is in no mood to celebrate.
“Medyo OK yung 9-1, pero kailangan muna naming tapos yung mga kailangan sa (I think 9-1 is OK, but we need to finish what is needed in the) eliminations,” De Jesus told the reporters after the game.

Living up to its billing as the best blocking team in the league, La Salle notched 17 points off blocks while Adamson only had three.
The Lady Spikers also had six services aces—three from Fajardo—which killed Adamson in the third set.
No Lady Falcon registered double digit outputs with top scorers Sheila Pineda and Pau Soriano just finishing with eight points each.
With the setback, Adamson tied with University of Santo Tomas and National University at 6-4 from spots three to five.
