UAAP postpones tennis, baseball, softball finals on Friday due to rain
MANILA, Philippines — Game one of the finals in UAAP season 75 men’s tennis, softball and baseball set on Friday were all postponed due to continuous rain.
Both the softball and baseball finals, originally set at 9 a.m. and 12 noon, respectively, at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, were moved to February 26 at the same time.
Adamson is gunning for an unscathed route to its 12th overall title, and is also hoping to extend its winning streak to 34 when it tires to dispose of National University in the finals.
Article continues after this advertisementAteneo and NU, meanwhile, dispute the baseball title in a winner-take-all game three after the Blue Batters took game one and the Bulldogs rallied to even the series.
NU and University of Santo Tomas were scheduled to clash in the men’s tennis competion at 9 a.m. while University of the Philippines and UST dispute the remaining finals berth in women’s afterwards.
The new schedule of the games, usually played at the Tennis Center of Rizal Memorial, though, have not been released.
