Floyd Mayweather Jr. gave boxing fans one more tweet to debate on hours before Christmas Eve.

Mayweather posted a collage of photos that took a swipe at eight-division world champion and Saranggani Rep. Manny Pacquiao.

The post, an Internet meme, tells Mayweather’s take on the anticipated megabout that doesn’t look like it’s happening soon.

It starts with “Money” offering $40 million to Pacquiao. In the next frame, Pacquiao rejects the offer. The third frame recalls Pacquiao’s stunning sixth round knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez.

The collage ends with Pacquiao in a praying pose with the caption “Dear God, Please have Floyd call me again.”

Floyd posted the meme with a caption that read: “This is my Christmas card to the world… Happy Sleepy Holidays zzzzzzzzzzzz.”

Mayweather’s post has gone viral over the Internet, with over 20,000 retweets on Twitter and nearly 99,000 likes on photo-sharing site Instagram as of Tuesday afternoon.

Netizens—both Pacquiao and Mayweather fans—trooped to social media to air opinion over Mayweather’s post.

User sushi_roll_ko commented on Instagram, “Damnnn lol shots fired.”

“I pity Mayweather. Only insecure people do this kind of thing. I think he had a sad childhood. Deprived of love and attention. Manny will not go down with this mockery. He knows better,” netizen kachupay posted on Twitter.

Twitter user Janine Sevalla (@thejanini) posted: “Floyd Mayweather’s very mature Christmas card.”

@TheSportsSwede sized up the whole hoopla, tweeting Mayweather directly, “Purse split. Just another excuse by Floyd. He knows Manny will kick his ass. Been running for [years] now. Chicken sh** MF.”

@JamelHerring tried to put another perspective, chiming in “Everybody crying @FloydMayweather [posting up] a meme on Instagram. Get over it, the ones crying will still buy his fights.”

A handful, though, still found the post funny.

Caroline Cuellar tweeted: “Floyd Mayweather and that meme, I died laughing.”

For @BjwalkinRIVERS, it was the “meme/collage of the year.”

Pacquiao fans naturally didn’t let this one pass and at around 1 p.m. yesterday generated a meme to counter Floyd’s. That, too, is gathering steam on social media, proving how much people want to see this fight push through.
