Jakarta steps up golf tourism

Jakarta steps up its golf tourism campaign aimed at luring golfers from around the world as it launched a new website dedicated to the golf traveler—www.enjoyjakartagolf.com.

The International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) has identified 21 of Jakarta’s 30 golf courses now open to visitors. These courses are featured on the new website.

“The launch of the website dedicated to the needs of golf travelers is another important step in our development as a golf destination,” said Hari Wibowo, manager of International Promotion for Enjoy Jakarta.

Meanwhile, tour operators from 32 countries have registered for the fourth IAGTO Asia Golf Tourism Convention slated April 27 to 30 at the Balai Sidang Jakarta Convention Center.
