TOP corporations in the Davao region are pooling their resources to support the staging of the Palarong Pambansa next month in Davao del Norte.

Tagum Agricultural Development Company, Inc. (Tadeco), Damosa Land, Davao Packaging Corporation (DPC), Davao International Container Terminal, Inc. and Pearl Farm Beach Resort are just some of the big corporate sponsors for the May 3 to 9 sportsfest.

“We are not only thankful but also very proud of their generous support for the Palaro,” said Davao del Norte Gov. Rodolfo del Rosario. “With their help, we’re on track to stage the best Palaro ever.”

The organizers headed by the provincial government and city officials said the Games have already drawn a positive response from the Department of Education.

“We are looking at this year’s Palaro as the benchmark and standard for succeeding games,” said DepEd Sec. Bro. Armin Luistro.

Organizers cited the comprehensive website (www.davnorpalaro2015.com) and the Olympic-style Palarong Pambansa Guidebook, which serves as the “bible” for all participants, as the significant innovations this year.

“Hosting the Palaro is a privilege,” said Del Rosario.  “It gives us the opportunity not only to showcase our capability to stage multisports competitions, but also to show how well the province and the region have progressed in terms of business, economy and tourism.” June Navarro
