CLAIMING to be all set for another win, streaking Tanduay Rhum vies to stay in the running for the quarterfinal bonus versus Phoenix-Far Eastern University in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup Monday at Filoil Flying V Arena.

“[The streak] is important because one loss and we would have lost our chance of making it to the top four,” coach Lawrence Chongson said of the Rhum Masters. “We already shook off the jitters. Bring it on.”

Game is set at 4 p.m. at Filoil Flying V Arena. Another victory will stretch the Rhum Masters’ winning roll to six games after a 0-2 start.

But the Rhum Masters face a similarly motivated Accelerators, who aim for a share of the top spot and the the twice-to-beat quarterfinal advantage, the bonus given to the top four teams at the end of the eliminations.

If the Accelerators triumph, the Rhum Masters will have to hope that AMA University upsets University of the Philippines-QRS/Jam Liner on Thursday to claim the last quarterfinal bonus.
