Nash Racela is new FEU head coach

MANILA, Philippines – Nash Racela, Talk ‘N Text’s long-time assistant coach, has been officially named as Far Eastern University head coach.

For weeks, Racela kept his lips sealed amid early reports of his coaching stint with the Tamaraws.

“FEU Head Coach will be Nash Racela effective November 1,” Anton Montinola, representative of FEU to the UAAP Board said in a text message Monday night.

Racela succeeded Bert Flores as the Tamaraws’ head coach.

Flores hinted last month that he might not return as head coach just moments after FEU failed to make the Final Four for the first time since 2007.

Racela is also the head coach of new team Fruitas Shakers in the PBA D-League.
