MANILA—Castrol ace Carlos Anton got off to a perfect start with another big win recently in the kickoff leg of the 2011 Philippine Hillclimb Championship.

Anton bagged first place in Group 5 and posted the overall best time for the day with one minute and 31.18 seconds up the La Union Pias Stage.

He led his Mark Young-Castrol team to a 1-2-3 finish with Alfie Concepcion posting the 2nd fastest time of 1:35.20 and Dennis Aoyong with a 1:39.17 run using his Lancer Evolution 5.

Anton’s teammate and defending Group 2 champion Frankie Domingo (1:42.14) picked up where he left off last year and defeated Edmund Dupo.

“It’s great to have a perfect start to the season, I hope we can continue our winning ways over the next rounds.” Anton said after his run up the mountain with his trusty Honda CRX.
