Fun run to benefit Carmelite foundation

THE “Takbo para kay Sta Teresa de Avila” hits the road tomorrow in two venues with proceeds to fund the Foundation for Carmelite Scholastics of the student-friars and the Care Fund for the elderly friars of the Order of Discalced Carmelites.

Organizers of the event, which marks the fifth centenary celebration of the first woman Doctor of the Church, expect over 3,000 runners to participate in the 3K and 5K races to be held simultaneously in Quezon City and San Pablo City.

Organized by the National Commission for the Celebration of the Fifth Birth Centenary of Sta Teresa de Avila (Order of Discalced Carmelites) with Rev. Fr. Dan Fauste, OCD as chair, the race will have the theme “Takbo Mo, Dasal Ko.”
