Ateneo beats UST, enters finals

MANILA, Philippines - Defending champion Ateneo clinched the first finals berth with an emphatic 81-64 victory over University of Santo Tomas in the UAAP men's basketball tournament Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Jai Reyes led the Eagles, who came into the game with a twice to beat edge, with 17 points.

Ateneo wiil face either Universtiy of the East or Far Eastern University.

The Warriors forced a rubber match with an 84-74 win yesterday against the Tamaraws, who hold a twice-to-beat advantage.
