Pacquiao: ‘I don’t need Mayweather’

MANILA, Philippines ? Manny Pacquiao, the newly crowned super welterweight champion of the World Boxing Council, said he did not need Floyd Mayweather but expressed openness to fighting him.

?If the fight happens, it happens, but I don?t need him [Mayweather],? said Pacquiao when asked about the possibility of facing the undefeated American boxer.

Pacquiao defeated Mexican Antonio Margarito in a unanimous decision for the WBC super welterweight crown, his eighth in as many divisions. Cedelf Tupas
