MANILA, Philippines – As tropical storm “Maring” continues to affect Metro Manila, the NCAA had decided upon canceling the opening of its Swimming Championship set on Tuesday.

“Due to the bad weather, the opening of the NCAA Swimming Championship set for tomorrow, August 20 will not push through. The new date will be announced later,” Event Chairman Moses Lozada of Perpetual Help advised.

Earlier, the league also postponed all its basketball games slated Monday (August 19) also due to the severe weather condition experienced throughout parts of the country.

The revised schedule for the canceled basketball games are yet to be announced.
