MANILA, Philippines – Perpetual Help turned back a hard fighting Mapua side, 73-65, in the NCAA Season 89 men’s basketball tournament Saturday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Harold Arboleda, Justin Alano and Nosa Omorogbe each notched a double-double as the Atlas improved to 11-3.

Arboleda scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Alano added 12 points and 10 boards. Omorogbe, the Cameroonian import, struggled at the offensive end with measly five points but made up for it with 11 rebounds, 10 assists, a steal and two blocks.

The Cardinals got off to a fast start but lost steam as the game went on, reeling to their 11th straight setback for a 1-12 slate.
