NBA stars engage in friendly contest with local fans

MANILA, Philippines — Indiana’s Paul George, George Hill and NBA great Jalen Rose engaged in a friendly contest on the court as they paid basketball fans a visit at Cuneta Astrodome on Tuesday.

George, Hill and Rose, clad in Pacers’ gear, split into three teams along with the eager participants ranging from kids to young at hearts.

With a gallery full of college students and basketball fans, Rose, who spent a notable time in his career in Indiana, and Hill, Pacers’ 27-year-old guard, battled in a quick shootout.

Later on, the three players also conducted dribbling drills for the participants.

The Indiana Pacers, along with the Houston Rockets and some NBA legends are in the country for the first-ever NBA Global Game.

They have also been going around Metro Manila to educate and entertain kids and longtime NBA fanatics about the sport the country is crazy about.

Ron Harper visited Manila Boystown last Sunday, while Robert Horry and Clyde Drexler dropped by a local court in San Andres.
