Angel, Phil mum on breakup details
ACTRESS Angel Locsin was the first to issue a statement regarding the reason for her recent breakup with national football star Phil Younghusband.
She confirmed their separation and thanked their fans who had supported them. But she did not mention what everyone wanted to hear: The cause of their estrangement.
The other day, TV5’s Paul Mata forwarded an Instagram posted by Phil this time. Mata said he read the manuscript several times in the hope of decoding something hidden between the lines, but he wasn’t sure if he got the message.

What is the secret all about, he wondered.

He said he and Angel tried hard to make it work and they don’t regret the time they spent together.
“There is no fault in this, it was not an issue of who did or didn’t do something,” wrote Phil. “It was a mutual decision, and although it was difficult, we just both felt that this [separation] would be the best thing to do given the circumstances.”
That’s about the gist of Phil’s Instagram post. Did you read anything between the lines?

A scalper identified as Richard Sadul was arrested by the police outside Smart Araneta Coliseum for selling tickets to Game 6 of the PBA Governors’ Cup championship series last Oct. 24.
The 26-year-old Sadul was caught with 256 tickets worth P60,000 for patron, lower box and upper box seats.
What puzzles people, especially the rabid PBA fans, is how Sadul got hold of so many tickets, which he sells at a higher price, when these items are as rare as diamonds during PBA championships.
Sadul said the tickets were ordered by a politician to be given away to candidates running for barangay captains. The village chiefs, in turn, are supposed to distribute the tickets to their constituents.
During investigation, police traced the tickets to the agency that handles bulk sales for Araneta Coliseum. For a moment there, I thought the PBA office was a possible source.
Last I heard, Sadul is still in jail.
