The country’s leading junior netters and a slew of international aces brace for a two-week battle for supremacy when the Phinma International Juniors Tennis Championships fires off Nov. 19 at Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.
Twenty-two players have been seeded into the main draw in the boys’ division with 26 more set to slug it out for the last 10 slots in the Nov. 17 to 18 qualifiers of the event.
Eyeing seats in the 32-man main draw are Eric Olivarez Jr., Andrew Cano, Dave Mosqueda, Joachim Samson, Jose Nicholas Cano, Stefan Suarez, Jeremiah Tomacruz, Vince Salas and John Decasa.

THE SENIORS Trimester Birthday Bash and Christmas golf tournament sponsored by Brainmaster will be held Nov. 19 at Manila Southwoods’ Masters course in Carmona, Cavite.
Organized by the Southwoods’ Seniors Chapter headed by Jose Cedo and vice president/tournament chair Paco Gonzalez, the event features 60 of the club’s senior members and their guests aged 55 years old and above.
