MANILA, Philippines — Jumbo Plastic outplayed Zambales M-Builders, 80-62, Thursday to get back on the winning track in the 2013 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The Giants, who succumbed to their first loss last week, were in control throughout against the M-Builders, but still needed a barrage of three-pointers in the third quarter to secure their third win.

Elliot Tan and Karl Dehesa scored 16 points apiece and combined for 6-of-10 shooting from three-point range. Jan Colina grabbed 11 rebounds as Jumbo Plastic dominated the glass, 50-38.

Marlon Gomez’s game-high effort of 18 points, along with Jett Vidal’s 10, was wasted as the M-Builders fell to their second straight setback.

Zambales M-Builders showed cohesion towards the end of the third, cutting the lead down to five, 59-55, but failed to follow up in the payoff period.
