THE UAAP lined up more than just the usual sports activities when the second-semester sports get going this month.
Pitching in to the relief efforts, the league has pooled a cash donation and organized a fund-raising basketball exhibition match to help the victims of Supertyphoon “Yolanda.”
The league will give at least P300,000 in cash, league secretary-treasurer Malou Isip said recently. The donation will be formally turned over to ABS-CBN during the opening ceremony of the women’s volleyball tournament on Dec. 1 at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
