MANILA, Philippines – Rain or Shine got its 2014 Philippine Cup campaign on the right track as it beat Alaska 87-74 in the nightcap of the three-game, three-city opener of the 39th PBA Season Sunday at the University of Southeastern Philippines gym in Davao.
Big man Jervy Cruz finished with a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Elasto Painters, who established a 20-point lead 68-48 late in the third quarter on back-to-back three-pointers by Jeff Chan.
