UAAP: Ara Galang’s 16 points propel La Salle past UP
MANILA, Philippines — Ara Galang scored 16 points as defending champion De La Salle continued its winning ways with a 25-9, 25-21, 25-19, victory over University of the Philippines in the UAAP Season 76 women’s volleyball tournament Sunday at the Arena in San Juan.
Galang had three service aces and two blocks while Mika Reyes added 15 points for the Lady Spikers, who padded onto their league-best record to 4-0.
The Lady Maroons just didn’t have the tools to match up with the Lady Spikers as they fell to 0-4.
La Salle, which hasn’t dropped a set so far this season, only had 11 miscues as compared to UP’s 17.
