Just passing grade for wushu bets
DESPITE three gold medals, the Wushu Federation of the Philippines could only give its athletes a passing mark for the Burma (Myanmar) Southeast Asian Games.
WFP president Tan She Ling and secretary general Julian Camacho said they were expecting no less than five golds from their 10 young wushu artists who competed in the biennial Games.
“It would be perfect if we won five golds. They did well, but not perfect. Just passing grade,” Camacho said during last Friday’s recognition given to wushu medalists in the recent international competitions.
The country bagged three golds via Daniel Parantac in taijian, and Jessie Aligaga and Dembert Arcita in the sanda events in the SEA Games.
