MANILA, Philippines — Adamson University shoots for a second-straight automatic appearance in the title round when it takes on De La Salle University at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the UAAP Season 76 softball tournament at Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.
In the other games, University of Santo Tomas takes on University of the Philippines at 11 a.m., while National University clashes with University of the East at 1 p.m.
A win by the Lady Bulldogs (8-3) or a loss by the Golden Tigresses (7-4) will give NU the second seed in the Final Four.
UE (5-6), on the other hand, has secured the last seat in the semifinals.
In women’s volleyball, Far Eastern University and Adamson clash at 4 p.m. also Wednesday in a make-or-break game for both teams in their bid to snare the last semifinals berth at The Arena in San Juan.
NU, meanwhile, eyes the twice-to-beat semifinals bonus against University of the Philippines in the first game at 2 p.m.
The Lady Bulldogs are on an eight-game streak for a 10-1 record for second place. They are ahead by three games over third-running Ateneo (7-4).
