MANILA, Philippines — Defending champion Adamson moved closer to another perfect season in softball after dominating National University, 11-3, in six innings in the opener of UAAP Season 76 finals Tuesday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

The Lady Falcons, who rolled to their 47th straight win, shoot for their 13th softball title overall in Game 2 on Friday.

Adamson appeared to have been struggling early before Clariz Palm broke a 3-3 deadlock at the bottom sixth inning.

Palma, along with Analie Benjamen keyed in a crucial stretch for the Lady Falcons, who also drew two strikeouts from reigning MVP Rizza Bernandino and Julie Muyco.
