Lady Tamaraws score UAAP football title

MANILA, Philippines — Far Eastern University completed a sweep of University of Santo Tomas on Sunday to nail the UAAP season 76 women’s football championship for the second straight year.

Sharmine Siaotong slotted in the opening goal for the Lady Tamaraws in the 19th minute before Alisa Dolino doubled the lead in the 56th, which proved to be insurmountable for the Tigresses.

Marice Magdolot scored the consolation for runner-up UST in the 87th minute off an assist from Jan Christelle Cleofe.

The newest title hikes FEU’s record to nine to become the winningest squad in the league’s women’s football history.
