Doctora shines as Stallion XI forces draw
MANILA, Philippines — Iloilo-born striker Ruben Doctora sparkled as Stallion fought back from two goals down in the second half to salvage a 3-3 draw against leader Global Thursday night in the United Football League at Emperador Stadium in Taguig.
Proving that he’s worthy for a call up to the national side, the fleet-footed Doctora assisted on the first two goals before scoring the late equalizer that prevented Global from pulling further away from the standings.
Global remained on top with 38 points—five ahead of Kaya and Loyola Meralco—heading into the third and last round of the season.
