Colina’s double-double powers Jumbo Plastic past Hog’s Breath

MANILA, Philippines —Jan Colina notched a double-double and Jumbo Plastic rose from a double-digit deficit to beat Hog’s Breath 73-63 in the 2014 PBA D-League Foundation Cup Monday at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

Colina scored 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Giants, who rode on a strong fourth quarter to chalk up their third win in four outings.

The former Adamson University slotman shot an efficient seven-of-nine from the field while also anchoring his team at the defensive end with two blocks to boot.

Jumbo Plastic trailed by as much as 12 early in the third quarter before regrouping and eventually finding its game in the final frame where the Giants outscored the Razorbacks, 21-7.

Jansen Rios was the lone Razorback in double-figure scoring with 12. Hog’s Breath reeled to its fourth setback in fives stints.

With the win, the Giants joined idle Cebuana Lhuillier Gems in second place behind pacesetting NLEX.
