Former Pacquiao sparmate Porter keeps IBF title

Shawn Porter, the former sparring partner of superstar Manny Pacquiao, knocked out the veteran Paulie Malignaggi Saturday night (Sunday in Manila) in the fourth round to retain his International Boxing Federation welterweight crown at DC Armory in Washington, District of Columbia.

Porter, who helped Pacquiao prepare for Miguel Cotto in 2009, raised his record to 24-0-1 with 15 knockouts. Malignaggi dropped to 33-3 with 7 KOs.
