MANILA, Philippines — Fresh from bagging the AAO Big Event Derby championship last Thursday, Misamis Oriental Rep. Peter Unabia heads the favorites in a big 5-cock derby Saturday at Roligon Mega Cockpit.
With more than 70 fights, today’s battles, hosted by Bobby Go of the popular “Blue Snake” entry and co-sponsored by Resorts World Manila and Thunderbird Energen, will start at 4 p.m.
Among the top participants are Charlie “Atong” Ang, Gerry Ramos, cockfight “idol” and Rep. Patrick Antonio, Jojo Cruz, Mayor Goto Violago, LB Candelaria, Tady Palma, Victor Sierra of Cebu, Osang dela Cruz, Gov. Damian Mercado, Eric dela Rosa and Vice Gov. Odie Fausto.
Meanwhile, Roligon will also stage ninth leg of the UFCC 6-Cock Derby on May 8 and the P3-million Rueda Idol 6-Cock Derby on May 10. Entry fee for ‘Rueda Idol’ is P5,500.
