B.League: Kai Sotto, Dwight Ramos show out despite losses

MANILA, Philippines—Kai Sotto and Dwight Ramos continued their stellar showing despite losses by their respective teams in the B.League on Saturday.

Sotto posted 20 points, four rebounds, three assists and a block in 27 minutes for the Koshigaya Alphas, who suffered a 92-84 loss to the Kyoto Hannaryz at Koshigaya City Gymnasium. The loss dropped Koshigaya’s record to 6-17.

Ramos also put up numbers, collecting 21 points, three rebounds, two steals and a block but not enough to propel the Levanga Hokkaido to a victory over the San-En Neophoenix, who came away with a 102-78 win at Toyohashi City Gymnasium.

Hokkaido, which was coming off a 78-60 rout of Ibaraki Robots, fell to 9-14.

Ray Parks Jr., meanwhile, helped the Osaka Evessa beat the Chiba Jets, 88-76, at Ookini Arena Maishima.

Parks had seven points, five rebounds and three assists while Ryan Luther spearheaded Osaka with 21 points and eight rebounds. Osaka improved to 13-10.

AJ Edu played sparingly but his Nagasaki Velca still dealt Ibaraki a 91-75 beatdown at Adastria Mito Arena.

Edu scored just two points but had nine rebounds and a block to help Velca hike their record to 11-12.
